3/4" Emt stands for Electrical Metalic Tubing. This metal tubing has an inside diameter of 3/4" with an outside diameter of 7/8". For cots larger than 36" x 52" or for the extremely heavy breeds of dogs, we use 1" EMT with an inside diameter of 1" and an outside diameter of 1 1/8".
18oz Polyester has a polyester scrim coated on both sides with nylon. This material is not a laminate. Our 18oz polyester is a solid piece of bonded material. This material is a heavy duty, non-porous tarping material.
This is because of the surface area that must be supported.
